Greetings from the PureHeart team! I want to personally thank each of you for standing by us throughout the years. The past 12-18 months have been dark and heavy for me as a man, a husband, a father and as a leader. The words found in Exodus 15:2 have kept me going, “The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.” Have you ever found yourself, in the troughs of life, struggling to praise Him? I have. However, those words kept pressing me on to praise Him even when that praise came hard. It is difficult to deliver praise from parched lips or a wounded heart. Sometimes it is simply an act of determination: I will praise Him. As this verse says, He has become my salvation. He is becoming my salvation. What a process and journey! I feel the cloud lifting, and as it lifts, my renewed strength for life and ministry is returning. I want to encourage you, as one who has been oppressed, depressed and obsessed, to keep on praising Him. He is faithful and is the only faithful One. I am uncertain why valleys of darkness have to come when they come and as intense as this one has been. However, I know I’m a different person than I was before. I know Him better, and I know myself better; and ultimately by knowing both, I can minister better. I also have seen the shadow of the Enemy through all this. The Enemy would love it if he could silence the message of PureHeart Ministries. That in itself is motivation to keep me moving despite the thoughts and ideas of simply quitting. I cannot quit! With your continual prayers and encouragement, I will press on and allow the LORD to become my complete strength, song and salvation. And not only mine, but the strength, song and salvation of PureHeart Ministries as well. And jointly - because as the leader, my life and experiences will naturally be reflected in Pure- Heart’s message - we will praise Him. Your prayers and support of PHM have been a blessing to me and a key part of our ministry success. Don’t stop! As we move forward in ministry we count on your prayers even more.
